Origamity

A puzzle game on a single sheet of paper. Fold the page to bring the far side to you.

Origamity is the first full length game I’ve released! It’s a simple casual puzzle game, completely polished and even localized for different languages (which took me such a long time). Currently the demo is free on Itch.io but a full steam release is coming! The game is complete I’m just waiting on being able to put it on steam itself.

Features

  • A par fold count and up to three stars on every page. Two hints per page, each costing a star.
  • Undo and restart any time. No failing or anything, to keep things casual.
  • Hints come from a solver that searches the page’s possible folds in the background, a little each frame so the game stays smooth.
  • A daily page that everyone gets on the same day, gentle on Monday and hard on Sunday.
  • Achievements, stats and save slots.
  • Six languages: English, Chinese (Simplified), Russian, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil) and German.
  • Accessibility options: a distinct symbol on every object so colour is never the only clue, reduced motion, UI scale and high contrast.

How this page is styled (Paper theme)
  • The navy desk and cream paper are the game's own colours, and the font is Patrick Hand, the one the game uses, self-hosted with Fontsource.
  • The paper grain is an SVG feTurbulence noise filter written as a data URI background, so there's no texture image to download.
  • Every panel has a dog-eared corner: a pseudo-element with a diagonal two-colour linear-gradient. Hover a panel and it folds further. Hover the header picture and its corner folds over.
  • Panels sit at slightly different angles with the rotate property, and the buttons are torn paper slips cut out with a jagged clip-path polygon.
  • Links get a crayon underline with text-decoration: underline wavy.
